The path taken by Mario Costa in 1919, who has always prioritized product quality, has proven successful many times. In 1924, he won the top award at the Dairy Show in Milan. Later on, in 2006, Mario Costa S.p.A. was awarded the first Trophy at the Concorso Caseario della Scuola di Pandino. In addition to that, Mario Costa S.p.A. won the Tuttofood Cheese Award during the edition of Tuttofood held from the 8th to 11th of May 2011 at Fieramilano. According to Davide Fileppo Zop, Sales Manager at Mario Costa S.p.A., the Tuttofood Cheese Award is an important recognition whose purpose is to promote the best European Dop cheese through awareness thereby strengthening its presence in the international market. An unusual feature of this award is that the jury is composed of sellers, consumers, chefs and journalists but not producers. The Mario Costa Gorgonzola, along with other thirteen top quality products, was the only Gorgonzola to be awarded.
In 2014, thanks to its Gorgonzola "Stravecchio", Mario Costa won the San Lucio Trophy of the CaseoArt competition, the award for excellence in craftsmanship in the dairy industry.
